Pipe Burst Protection As Low As -100°F (-73°C)
ICE BLOCK is a Propylene Glycol based anti-freeze and heat transfer fluid capable of providing pipe burst protection to temperatures as low as -100 degrees. All ingredients are generally regarded as safe by the FDA, making ICE BLOCK the recommended anti-freeze protection where there is possible contact with potable water sources. ICE BLOCK can be used in any water based closed system to provide maximum freeze protection, allow maximum heat transfer and control corrosion.
To determine the amount of ICE BLOCK to use, simply establish the lowest temperature the equipment will experience and use any Hydrometer that is calibrated for Propylene Glycol or refer to the temperature charts provided. Then add ICE BLOCK to the system to achieve the concentration of ICE BLOCK that corresponds to the protection desired.
